This Refund Policy explains how refunds work for Medlearnity tutoring packages, hourly sessions, and trial reservations. It supplements our Terms and Conditions; where the two overlap, the Terms and Conditions govern.
Tutoring packages
If a student decides they no longer need all the hours in their current tutoring package, the package can be prorated to the number of hours completed. For example, if a student purchases a 20-hour package and completes 14 hours of tutoring, they have the option to switch to the 10-hour-package hourly rate, and any remaining balance is refunded at that prorated rate.
Your hours never expire
Your purchased hours can be used for future exams and/or admissions services — there is no pressure to use them by a certain date. If you have remaining hours and do not anticipate being able to use them, we can refund them prorated to the number of hours completed, as described above.
Adding hours
Once you have a package, you can continue to add additional hours at your current package's hourly rate. Adding hours does not change the refund terms of your original package.
Cancellations
Medlearnity has a 24-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled sessions. If an emergency prevents a student from attending a scheduled session, they should email their tutor as soon as possible. Students receive email notifications for all sessions, so session timings are always clear.
Overage charges
Some packages collect a payment card on file so that tutoring hours used beyond the purchased package can be billed automatically, at the package's own per-hour rate, only for hours actually consumed. A receipt is emailed for every overage charge, and a small grace amount may apply before any overage is billed.
Refunds never trigger an overage charge. A refund can never create or increase an amount billed for overage. You can update or remove your card on file and review your balance and charges in your Medlearnity account at any time, and overage billing stops when the card on file is removed.
